Coco Crisp could be heading to the Cleveland Indians

A reunion to propel the Indians to the promise land?

If anything, at least Crisp wouldn't have to wear those putrid yellow uniforms anymore.

The Cleveland Indians and the Oakland Athletics are on the verge of sending LGFT Coco Crisp back to Cleveland, reports Steve Adams via Twitter:

Crisp, who made his debut with the Cleveland Indians in 2002, has had an okay year for a 36-year old outfielder. In 102 games so far in 2016, Crisp has slashed .234/.299/.399 for the A's, which equates to an OPS+ of  92 and a wRC+ of 89. Once a terror on the basepaths, he has only swiped 7 bags so far in 2016 while getting caught 5 times. According to FanGraphs, Crisp has been pretty dreadful on offense (-6.8 Offense) and even worse in the field (-12..7 Defense). He's amassed either -0.5 or 0.0 WAR, depending on if you're looking at FanGraphs or B-Ref.

My knee-jerk reaction is that Coco Crisp is not the answer to a post-season roster without Abraham Almonte, who Crisp would most likely be taking over for. But hey, he could be that final piece of the puzzle that brings the whole thing together.
